I didn't come up through design. I came up through sales. For more than a decade I've worked in business-to-business sales — hundreds of real conversations with small and mid-sized business owners about what they actually pay for, and what gets sold to them that never works. That background is the whole difference. Plenty of people can make a website look nice. Fewer understand that a pretty site which doesn't bring in calls is just an expensive brochure.
I've also built and run my own small online business, so I know the feeling of sweating over whether the thing you made actually works. It's why I care less about design awards and more about whether your phone rings.
Why I started BearPark
I kept seeing the same thing: good local businesses — plumbers, roofers, tree crews, family shops — losing work to bigger companies for one reason. The big guys show up first online and never miss a call. That's fixable, and it isn't complicated. So I started building fast, honest websites for local service businesses, paired with the systems that actually win the job: local SEO, missed-call text-back, and a steady flow of reviews. One person, built by hand, no fluff.
About the name
People ask about it. BearPark is my two sons — Bear and Park, the names we call them at home. They're why I started this, and why I'm building something to last instead of a side project I'll walk away from next quarter. When your kids' names are on the company, you answer the phone and you do the work right.
